About Bittersweet Mountain Studio
Bittersweet Mountain Studio will be a making space on the side of the hill for duo Karen McPherson, ceramic artist, and Peter Gaustad, fine art illustrator and educator. It will also be open for classes, primarily clay and drawing. The space will also be open for workshops and events. This studio will be ready in fall of 2018.
The space is currently Karen and Peter's home, purchased by the Sweet sisters as a summer home in 1972. It's best features are a great deck that looks out at the Rocky Mountains and takes your gaze from Long's Peak up to Ypsilon, a deep history of gathering together, and a great sense of whacky-why-not.
